The Pantry Makeover

Make eating nutritious food the easy choice . . .

We know that during pregnancy it’s especially important to focus on nutrition. And yet, it’s also the time that we’re dealing with nausea, aversions, and cravings. It feels a little bit like biological unfairness.

And we often get frustrated with ourselves and just wish that we had more willpower to do it all anyway. . .

But what if we weren’t supposed to just wish for more willpower? What if we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment long before our tummy starts growling?

Our kitchen environment has the ability to make follow-through of our intentions more or less likely.

So let’s be proactive about it and make it work FOR us.

Nutritious food can. . .

Give you sustained energy so you’re not feeling so fatigued at different times of the day

Balance your moods and minimize depressive symptoms (some nutrient deficiencies mimic perinatal mood disorders like depression)

Lower your chances of gestational diabetes and help in management if you get that diagnosis

Help your baby’s growth and development

Improve your body’s ability to adapt to the physiological changes of pregnancy

Aid your postpartum recovery process

Make you feel better day-to-day, which in turn encourages other healthy behaviors like exercising (because it’s hard to get up and do things when you feel generally crummy)

I’m so excited to offer
Pantry Makeovers!

Too often, we fill our pantries and fridges with whatever we’re used to buying without putting any thought into whether it’s truly something that we want to have in our homes or not. A little planning can go a long way toward success before you even get started.

We’ll have two hours together split into two parts.

How does it work?

Part One

We’ll take about 30-minutes to talk some kitchen stocking techniques and easy guidelines that’ll help you assess food quality and choose what items you do and don’t want.

Part Two

We’ll get into your pantry and fridge for the remaining 90-minutes and help you to choose options that best suit your needs. We can also add some organization that’ll encourage prioritizing your more nutritious foods.

You’ll also receive cheat sheets and guidelines so that you can continue on with your success long after our session together. . .

I fully understand that what you have in your kitchen can be a sensitive topic, and it might feel strange to invite someone in to look at it. Please know that I’m NOT there to judge or tell you what you should have.

As a health coach, my role is to give you information as needed and guide you in making the choices that suit you. This means that the indulgences that I choose to keep in my pantry will be different than the ones that you keep in yours.

My goal is never to get you to do what I do, but to help you find the easiest way for you to eat in a way that supports your health goals.

YOUR INVESTMENT: $117

Why should you work with me?

I’m so glad you asked!

I’m not someone who just naturally eats healthy all the time. . . There, I said it. : )

I need a planning and preparation or I just just go with the easy options. So I know what a big deal being proactive is when you want to eat healthier. Leaving your decisions until the last second is a surefire way to keep doing what you’ve always done. But if you get your space setup well, then you’re MUCH more likely to make the choices you want to in the moment.

Besides personally experiencing major changes to how I eat, I’m also a certified health coach through the American Council on Exercise. I sought that advanced certification after the Personal Trainer certification because of my own weight struggles and challenges with healthy eating.

As I moved into pre- and postnatal work, I studied nutrition specifically for pregnancy, and also added a Pregnancy Health Coaching certification through Dr. Sears Wellness Institute.

Enjoying good food is something that’s really important to me, so I will certainly not encourage you to take the joy out of eating (because eating can bring great enjoyment).

We’ll work together to give you a space that reflects your goals, preferences, and taste. I look forward to working with you.
